Now that you know how to take good shots, learn to use your computer to edit your images. Learn how the pros do it!

This is a four week class that will help you gain a better understanding about using editing software (Photoshopping) your pictures. Participants should have a basic understanding of the use of a computer. You may bring your laptop or the museum may provide you with one to use while in class. There are dozens of editing programs available, and we will be using Photoshop Elements 7 in class. If you have Photoshop CS3 or CS4, you may also bring that. Feel free to bring your images to class to get hints and maybe get edited in class.

Week 1. Using your browser and photo gallery. Opening images to edit. Understanding the user interface (all the buttons you see in the program).

Week 2. Simple retouching, fixing exposure problems, understanding what to do first. Making black and white from color.

Week 3. Advanced creative editing, making art with your photos, and photo restoration

Week 4. Creating art posters and panoramas


Cost for the 4 week class is $125.00 for members and $150.00 for non-members . CLASS SIZE IS LIMITED.
